FINALLY!  Now Nightcap makes SLIPS to wear under all those gorgeous Nightcap Sheer Tunics , Dresses and Gowns.  The Nightcap slips are very simple, easy to wear and easy to care for (they’re machine washable!).  The slips are available in a Grey ASH color, Basic BLACK and GIRLY White. 

So don’t fret next time you fall in love with a beautiful but oh so sheer Nightcap dress, just make sure to grab the matching Nightcap slip and you are good to go!

Stunning in Red: The Teen Dream Mini Dress

Today I did a shoot of the Style Stalker TEEN DREAM MINI DRESS .  I must say I am a fan of this particular dress.  I absolutely love the variable length you can make it - because it’s a ruched style dress you can pull it down to your knees, throw over a blazer and be set for the office and after work, when you’re ready to go out with friends - just scrunch it up above the knees for a night of dancing!  Super versatile!  I think, because of the slim fit, you could probably top it off with a sweater and wear it as a skirt.   Really loving the red color, it’s a bit of a muted red.  The square neckline and mesh sleeves really give it a nice, feminine look.  A little peek-a-boo mesh triangle at the front shows off a bit more skin - but not too much.  Below are some photos of this stunner!  Hope you check them out and you can shop this dress at Tea Leaf Clothing.

Wildfox Spellbound Baggy Beach Jumper in Amethyst Plum

The Wildfox Couture Spellbound Jumper features a gorgeous Amethyst color - it’s a little bit darker than pictured, more of a deep plum color.  I haven’t see this color used in Wildfox jumpers yet.  It’s really lovely, especially for the Fall and Winter.  The neckline is a bit drapey with a loose banding, it’s nice and wide and comfy.  The jumper is made from THE SOFTEST fabric ever!  If you own any Wildfox baggy beach jumpers then you are very familiar with just how soft they are.  They’re a bit lightweight so great for layering but also very cozy because of their knobby texture.  The fit is a bit oversize - although this current collection runs a bit more true to size than collections past.  The graphic on this one is cute.  Put in your cauldron a golden foiled moon with a black star, 2 ivory white crossbones and a deep red heart to make the perfect concoction! Just as a quick reference, I am about a size 8 and take a MEDIUM in this lovely sweatshirt - and believe me, it’ll get worn a lot especially come Halloween!

This is my guilty pleasure - a HUGE Philly Cheese Steak sandwich - really love these toasted a la Quiznos - Delish!  Not so great for the waistline

Finally, I have a lot of vegetarian girlfriends who always want me to convert - to make them happy I choose the Portabella sandwich - it’s almost like meat :)

July is over

I simply cannot believe that JULY is OVER!  It just flew on by.  Now, why is it that the older we get the faster time flies?  Seems like summers just dragged on and on when I was younger and I could not wait to get back to school to see my friends and catch up on what we did in the summer!  Now it seems like the seasons leap on by.  I suspect another reason time flies is that being in California there are practically no seasons - especially in this cold summer we’ve been having.  Winter flows into Spring into Summer then Fall - all in one swift motion. I sometimes put my screensaver on different seasonal photos to remind myself on what orange brown leaves look like on trees right before they fall off, or what a sparkling snow drift looks like at the side of a never-traveled road. So lovely are all the seasons! 

My favorite season is probably early Fall when it’s a bit chilly so I can layer all my favorite pieces but it’s not so cold that you have to wear mittens and hats and coats.

Currently, my favorite piece is the Wildfox Couture Elephant Love Jumper in Green! It’s SO unbelievably soft and so perfect to throw over a tee, tank, skirt or dress. The color is green and that, in fact, is my favorite color!  I also love how this cold summer has allowed me to wear my leggings more often!  I know the rest of the country has been in a heat wave and I feel blessed to be in Malibu where the ocean keeps a constant cool mist in the air.  It does mean that all the folks from in-land are flocking to the beach and traffic has been HORRID!  But I digress … … …

So summer is almost over. Back to school is around the corner and Christmas will be here before we know it!  Let time fly but remember to enjoy each and every day.
